WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT?

Psychological support varies from other therapeutic modalities in a key number of ways:

1. It is solution focused: In psychological support sessions you will explore particular problems and encourages the client to make improvements in their thought processes and actions through exploration/homework.

2. Sessions are structured: Instead of thinking about your life openly, you and the psychologist can decide on a common issue and set goals to achieve.

3.  Psychological support focuses primarily on present issues: Instead of trying to discuss and overcome past events,  these sessions focus primarily on how you currently think and behave.

4. Psychological support sessions are collaborative: You are collaborating with your psychologist to find solutions to overcome the current problems. Your psychologist does not tell you what to do.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Engaging in psychological 1-1 support, you will meet with a psychologist for approximately 12-20 weeks (however, treatment can be extended if the client wants more sessions).

These weekly sessions last for 50 minutes. At the intake session, the psychologist will be assessing if is the type of support is suitable to meet your needs best. Once agreed that this support is a good fit for you, the psychologist will begin to break each problem down into smaller/separate parts.

Throughout the process you will learn an array of positive coping strategies and a toolkit of methods to help you support your emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

In-Person & Online Sessions are 70 euros.
